Message From Dean of Students


The Dean of Students’ office is the most central in the life of a teacher trainee right from the point of admission to the point of exit. The Dean of Students’ office undertakes the following duties.

  1. Preparing an orientation programme in liaison with the Chief Principal’s office and other officers in college. During orientation the teacher trainees are familiarized with the college programmes. They are also issued with college rules and regulations, including the college routine.
  2. Arranging for Guidance and Counselling programmes. The College has a fully-fledged Guidance and Counselling Department headed by a qualified counselor.
  3. Organizing and coordinating games and sports.
  4. The Dean of Students’ Office prepares students for free, fair and credible elections where they are given the opportunity to choose their leaders democratically.
  5. Overseeing catering services and ensuring that the meals are of good standard.
  6. Health Services – The College has qualifies medical staff to handle any cases of sickness. Serious medical cases are referred to Mosoriot Sub – County hospital, Kapsabet County Hospital or Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
  7. Spiritual Welfare – The College is founded on strong Christian values. The Christian Union (CU), Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) and Catholic Christian Students Association (CCSA) have regular services scheduled on Campus. There is a room designated for those who belong to the Islamic faith.
  8. Clubs and Societies – These are established in the College to facilitate leadership training and to provide for academic, Social and Spiritual Welfare of the teacher trainees.
